CONVERSATIO
Conversatio Scholars is an enrichment program designed to enhance the curriculum of leadership. Our Leadership Scholars seek to apply, with deliberate intention, the philosophical and practical lessons of leading in order to understand ourselves and our community.
Future leaders come from classroom, co-curricular, and athletic spaces, and they seek to expand interactions with other committed leaders. Our Benedictine heritage compels us to lead with stability, discipline, faithfulness, and resilience.
CURRICULUM EXPECTATIONS:
Scholars must maintain a 90% weighted GPA and be enrolled in a minimum of one course at the Honors or AP level during the school year. AP Seminar is preferred for its leadership focus.
As one of the five vows that a Benedictine monk takes, conversatio is a contestant call to growth and conversion to the likeness of Christ. Ethical leaders are called to embrace the principles of conversatio for the advancement of the common good. Conversatio Scholars seek to foster intellectual and personal breakthroughs and to cultivate habits of mind that will transform our community, nurturing deep learning and generosity.
