Benet Scholar's Program

Extending the Curricular Experience of Our Students

Established in 2023, the selective, application-based Scholars Program seeks to extend and enrich the curricular experience of our students who have a passion in math, science, the humanities, arts, and leadership.
The program provides scholars the opportunity to explore and interact with passion and intention to grow beyond the curriculum through seminars, discussion, field trips and speakers. Rooted in, and worthy of, the Benedictine Tradition, we seek to engage first through our shared beliefs in the Rule of St. Benedict and live in reflection of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition and interaction with each other.

The Scholars Program curates deep interest in how skill and talent can be supported by intentional curiosity and commitment to shared purpose. We are proud to celebrate the work of our student body, enrich interdisciplinary work, and commit to future development.

SERVANT LEADERS:
In addition to the curricular expectations, Scholars must exemplify the Benedictine values of hospitality, respect for persons, and community with deliberate intention.
Freshman and Sophomore Scholars engage in 25 service hours each year.  Juniors and Seniors will complete 15 hours each year.

William Myers ‘97, President

Benedictine Education is transformative of the human heart and mind. To achieve wisdom, acknowledgement of what we know and a recognition of what we have yet to learn are sought by the community. Our Scholars Program is a community committed to the formation of the whole person rather than the intellect alone and to live between rigorous thinking and intentional practice.

Benet Scholars join one of three communities:
