Shakespeare SLAM Team

The Shakespeare SLAM Team meets from September through December to prepare for The Chicago Shakespeare Theatre’s  annual Shakespeare SLAM competition. Student team creates its own adaptations of short individual scenes and “mash up” scenes from selected plays to perform at the annual Navy Pier competition. All students interested in  spoken word, acting and directing, or Shakespeare are encouraged to attend. The team attends training sessions  sponsored by Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, a regional bout, and a final competition performance.
