Mission Statement: To empower classmates with the knowledge and skills to navigate the basics and complexities of investing. To deliver interactive presentations on corporate valuation, option trading, technical analysis, and more, we aim to deepen understanding and foster curiosity in the investing world. Leveraging connections with financial professionals—including alumni—through guest speakers in order to lay a solid foundation for students considering future pursuits in finance or business at the collegiate level.
Club Description: The Investment Club is one of the largest student organizations at the school, with over 130 different students attending at least one meeting in the ‘24-‘25 school year (as of 1/19). It provides a platform for students to explore finance, economics, and investing through hands-on experiences and engaging discussions. The club manages a $1,000+ real-money portfolio, allowing members to propose and justify investment decisions based on research and analysis. Weekly meetings cover topics like market trends, valuation techniques, portfolio diversification, and emerging financial themes, such as artificial intelligence and interest rate policy. The club also hosts guest speakers, including finance professionals and university-level investment leaders, to provide valuable insights into the industry. By combining practical experience with educational opportunities, the club equips its members with financial literacy and strategic thinking skills that prepare them for future success in finance and beyond.
