Carolyn Tobolski Handrock
Carolyn Tobolski Handrock, died of a sudden illness, on November 14, 2024.
She was born on March 4, 1972 in Naperville, Illinois to Francis and Callie Mae Tobolski. Carolyn graduated from Benet Academy in Lisle, Illinois and the University of Notre Dame. She played the French Horn and the trumpet in the bands and orchestra at both schools. Carolyn also played the French Horn with the South Bend and DuPage orchestras. She took lessons and performed on the piano and voice. She accompanied a small group of singers at Mass at SS Peter and Paul Church in Naperville.
After moving to Algonquin, Carolyn joined the St. Margaret Mary choir.
Carolyn is survived by her son, Jonathan Handrock; her parents, Francis and Callie; her brother, Francis "Frank" Jr. (Cindy) Tobolski; nieces, Meghan (Michael) Ribbich, Sarah (Gregory) Neal, Rebecca Tobolski; four great nieces and nephews, and Uncle Charles (Jimneta) Christian.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 9-10am with a Mass being celebrated at 10am all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be on Friday, November 22, 2024 11am at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Naperville. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed for Masses or NAMI of McHenry County.
