Caroline Vidette Senetar, age 62, a resident of Naperville, IL, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was born on September 21, 1962 in San Francisco, CA.

 

Caroline is survived by her husband of 40 years, John J. Senetar; her son, Dr. Alexander Senetar of Sarasota, FL; as well as a host of amazing friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Regina Raphael, and her sister, Ann Marie Swinkels.

 

Caroline received a BS degree from the University of California Berkeley where she met her husband John. Shortly after the couple moved to Naperville where she began her career in real estate and became an instant success. She was a well-respected and successful Realtor with Re/Max in Naperville for almost 40 years. She was consistently one of the top Realtors in Naperville and the State of Illinois. She truly enjoyed working with her clients and built enduing friendships with her warm and caring personality.

 

Caroline was known for her volunteering. She served as Benet Mother’s Club President, Board Member of Naperville Century Walk, and on the Community Advisory Council of Loaves and Fishes. She was honored in 2018 by the Naperville Rotary Club for having made an impact within the community and shown leadership through volunteerism.

 

Caroline was truly special. Her smile and persona lit up a room. She had an amazing gift to make those around her happy and people would feel her love. Her empathy and kindness helped lift up those around her. She was an amazingly supportive wife and mother. Her presence will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 10, 4:00-8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 11, 10:30 AM at St. Raphael Catholic Church, 1215 Modaff Rd., Naperville. Interment will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Naperville.
