Mission Statement: The Latin Club is open to all students who are currently taking Latin or have taken Latin in the past. It is a social club for those who are enthusiastic about Roman culture, history, and language and are interested in sharing their enthusiasm with others.
Club Description: In the Latin club, there are Monthly meetings that often correspond to Roman holidays, including Christmas/Saturnalia, Lupercalia/Valentine’s Day, the Ides of March, and Rome’s birthday. The Latin Club also serves as Benet’s chapter of the Illinois Junior Classical League and National Junior Classical League and participates in events sponsored by these groups, including a yearly convention.
Meeting Time and Location: Before school: Monthly or bi-monthly, B204 or other location
Method of Communication to Members: There will always be an email sent out to Latin club members before a meeting, the meeting date will be posted on google classroom as well as communicated in class!
